Almost two years ago my family and I went on a medical mission to Honduras through One World Surgery (OWS). It was truly a transformative experience for us all. We had planned to go on another mission trip this year but were unable due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The postponement of medical missions has only exacerbated the global health crisis in developing countries like Honduras and the Dominican Republic. My niece Claire Cunningham, her husband Dr. Darren Eblovi, and their two young sons moved to the Dominican Republic last year to continue their work with OWS and its incredible mission to deliver health care to the world’s most underserved.
Claire and Darren are working on building a surgery center and a primary care program to serve the local community. Here is a short video about the OWS mission and Claire and Darren’s work in the Dominican Republic. We certainly need more hearts like theirs in this world!
I invite you to support this noble cause by joining a virtual fundraiser this Friday, October 30th at 6:45 pm Central Time. RSVP HERE If you can financially support them, that would be wonderful. Alternatively, this is a great opportunity to learn more about serving on an OWS medical mission.
Thank you!
